Questions about visa.

    1. On visa application, what documents must be prepared?
             In each case and category of visa, which we apply for, the documents shall be different and could not be used jointly.

    2. When to apply for visa?
             You could apply for visa within 90 days before the date on your wish to travel. Therefore, we recommend you to apply for visa in advance at least 20 working days before the date on your wish to travel.

    3. For travelling to France, must apply for Schengen visa or not?
             To enter into the country of Schengen Group, all Thai citizens must have visa for entering into Schengen country either for whatever duration or holding the passport of whatever category, except that such person has the residence permit for entering into Schengen country.

    4. Could the consulate require additional documents for the visa aplication?
             The consulate granting visa may request documents or additional information, depending on the data or situation of each applicant although the aplicant submits the documents at Candovisa. This case is subject to discretion of the consulate. In addition, other additional documents, which the embassy doesn’t request based on the list of primarily necessary documents for the visa category you apply for, must be translated and certified in English or language of that country.

    5. By what methods could the passport be obtained?
             You could obtain the passport during the working hours on Monday to Friday, 09.30 – 16.30 hrs. at Candovisa. You shiuld receive the warning text through private email or if you choose sending back the passport through EMS, the passport shall be sent to the address given by you.

    6. Could other person obtain the passport on behalf?
             If the applicant could not obtain the passport by himself, other person could obtain it on behalf by preparing the following documents:
                   • Receipt of passport
                   • Copy of the genuine Identification Card of the applicant for passport
                   • Identification Card of the receiver on behalf with copy of his Identification Card, 1 set
                   • Power of attorney as the evidence to obtain the passport

    7. If you ever applied for visa of that country, shall the previous application be reconsidered?
             No, you must submit new application for visa as well as interview.

    8. I have lost my passport before the date of interview, but I apply for issuing new passport. Is there any problem?
        If you have new passport, there is no problem. If new passport could not be issued upto the date of appointment, must cancel or change the appointment time at the visa information service center.

    9. I am busy and could not go to the embassy on the appointment time. Could other person represent me?
             No. Only the visa applicant is permitted. No other person could represent me.
